About Us

Amazing Threads opened in 2002 in our original location in Osseo. We moved to Maple Grove in 2004 and expanded our space to accommodate a 24 x 24 classroom and substantial additions to the yarns, buttons, needles, bags and notions we carry.

We carry yarns from hand dyers such as Fleece Artist, Hand Mainden, Three Irish Girls, Schaeffer Yarns, Malbrigo, Great Adirondack, Mountain Colors, Claudias Hand Paints, Shibui Yarns, Cascade, AslanTrends & more.

We carry yarns from Brown Sheep, Plymouth, Noro, Araucania, Trendsetter, Berroco, Cascade, Knitting Fever, Louisa Harding, Tahki Stacy Charles, Rowan, SMC Select, SMC, Regia, AslanTrends, Skacel Schulana, Schoeller Stall, Zitron, Austermann, HiKoo, Schoppel Wolle, Juniper Moon Farms, Ella Rae, BLue SKy Alpacas, Spud & Chloe, Classic Elite, Debbie, Bliss, SIrdar, Sublime and more.

We carry a full yarn of knitting bags, accessories and notions from suppliers from all over the world.

We offer LOTS and LOTS of classes to meet the needs of our customers. Classes are designed for varying skill levels and interests.

The best way to experience the depth of yarns, textiles, needles and notions is to plan a visit to our shop.  We have more than 2400 square feet of yarn and classroom space.We carry more yarns and brands than any other knitting shop in the midwest.  Our staff specialize in color and yarn coordination for any project.  All of our staff knit and some crochet.  If we can't find any answer or a product to fit your knitting or crochet needs, we will search for the product or answer.
