What's New: 4.3.12

Well, back to reality.  I am home and am loving the sunshine and warmth all of us are enjoying in Minnesota.  I know many of you are on spring break this week and are sticking close to home.  We have lots of new product at the shop.  Check out the What's New below.

We will be CLOSED EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 8, 2012

We are getting ready for the upcoming SHOP HOP as well which starts a week from Thursday.  Shop Hope dates are Thursday April 12 through Sunday, April 15.  We have maps at the shop and on the web.  Visit the Shop Hop Website or our Ravelry page for details.  The website links include suggested food shelf donations and our partner sponsors who are donating to this event as well.  Plan your YARN AROUND THE WORLD in 4 DAYS.

This year's hop includes 14 shops.  All will have a free pattern for each participant and specialty yarn.  Our hand dyed yarn is "April in Paris" from Three Irish Girls.  It is amazing.  I will give you all a sneak peek next week.  Each shop has chosen a country and our's, as you can tell by our yarn, is France.   

We are again supporting the food shelf staffed by CROSS.  Bring a donation for the food shelf and receive a charm from each shop. Yes, that means up to 14 food shelf donations, but knitters are such wonderful people. This is the time of year when food shelves need our help.  It's past the holidays and our joyful, giving spirits are long forgotten.  SO PLEASE give generously to help others who are having a tough time feeding their families. Carey Grant can do it, so can you.

New Knitter program is also new this year.  We will be offering free sessions on Sunday for New Knitters.  Learn the Knit Stitch.  Grab your friends that are new or want to learn to knit and join us Sunday afternoon to learn the knit stitch.  We will provide yarn and needles for you to practice on at the shop as well as an instructor to guide you through the knit stitch.  New knitters can register for a free learn to knit class at each shop and will earn an extra charm for their time and talents. SO MUCH FUN.

Shibui Linen has arrived along with their wonderful pattern books. Love this new linen. Great colors and price point. Get the scoop on this new linen from Shibui. Check in at the shop soon as we unpack new boxes of wonderful yarns this week.

Need a pattern from Ravelry.  We are now fully operational for printing patterns for YOU from Ravelry.  The original is sent to your email account or your Ravelry library and we print it for you even if you don't have an account.  We have installed a new laser printer to make this process a cinch. 

CLASSES with Openings:  Two socks at the same time using the Magic Loop with Yvonne starts April 11 - 6-8 pm.  Never again suffer from single sock syndrome.
