What's New: 8.16.11

Got Inspiration? Got Yarn?  Yes, Yes, Yes.

Someone asked Angel yesterday, "So What's New?"  She answered, "It would be much easier to show you what's not new first."  Oh, what a wonderful time to be a knitter.  I am working on one of the retreat projects using some hand dyed fleece artist merino and silk and I can't wait to get this shawl done.  Mine is being knit in brights because I love color.

Every where you look there is new yarn, patterns, books and more. The back room is still loaded with yarn that needs to get tagged and there boxes in the back that need to get out on the floor.  Again, PLEASE EXCUSE the mess as the metamorphosis continues.  Last week the back of the store got a new configuration and this week, the baby section is getting the "REDO."  

Highlights this week include: Findley from Juniper Moon is a new lace weight yarn in terrific colors that has been flying out of the store great projects from the Juniper Moon books and the Rill Scarf.  The scarf only takes one skein. Rill Scarf by Meriam Felton

Love the new colors of Willa, a 60% merino/40% superfine Kid Mohair bulky weight yarn. Chadwick is a merino/alpaca blend worsted weight yarn.  Both yarns come with great pattern support. Visit the fiber farm for more details.

Tutu from Crystal Palace is in - I designed the CUTEST little Baby Hat using Tutu & Trendsetter Merino 8   Pattern free with purchase of yarn to knit the hat.  Also new from Crystal Palace are Kid Merino which is a multi colored mohair & Moonshine, a mohair blend with a touch of glitz. New colors in Marble Chunky - great for sweaters, afghans, prayer shawls and more. Lots of the ruffled scarf yarn is on the shelf.  Marina in most colors sis available, Flounce now comes in solids and multi colors and Triana, the original, is back on the shelf, too.

Love the new Heirloom Baby Blanket from Frog Tree knit in Pediboo - Another knit to add to my queue.  The Heirloom Baby Blanket is a reversible and easy-to-remember stitch pattern using only knits and purls.
