What's New: 8.25.10

Lately, the weather reminds me of the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. First, it's too hot, then it's too cold...when do we get to "just right?" Today seemed just about perfect. It was sunny, with a great breeze and this evening I will certainly enjoy knitting on one of the many new yarns that are filling our shelves these days. Check out "What's New" below.

Please join us on Saturday morning, September 4 between 10 a.m and 1 p.m. to meet Lorna Miser. Lorna will be here to sign books and assist you with any yarn selection for a favorite pattern. Lorna founded Lorna's Laces Yarns which she sold in 2003. She is the author of two wonderful books for knitters. Lorna's first book "Faith, Hope, Love, Knitting" is filled with 24 wonderful patterns. It is a beautiful book about friendships that initiate through knitting. Each story has a knitting project that relates to that friendship. Knitting, as we all know, does bring people together for the love of the craft. In November 2010, we can expect Lorna's 2nd book, "The Knitters Guide to Hand Dyed and Variegated Yarns."

What's New

New colors from AslanTrends in Santa Fe sock yarn and Bariloche that wonderful hand dyed merino.

Indie arrived. This wonderful blend of wool and acrylic is accompanied by great patterns. This chunky yarn knits up quick.
