October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Check out our wonderful display of projects knit in pink.  All of it thanks to our Angel.  Hats, scarves, cowls, mittens, wristers and more.  Amazing Threads will donate $1 for each project purchased in pink the entire month of October.  Our Project of the Month is the Reversible Waves Hat.  Pattern and yarn available at the shop.  Also love the Burberry inspired cowl neck scarf. Meet Sharon McMahon, Owner and Master Hand Dyer of THREE IRISH GIRLS.  Sharon is not only a creative dyer but a wonderful and entertaining presenter.  All sessions include refreshments & an opportunity to attend her Trunk Show on Saturday before it is open to the public. Only a few spaces remain! Freebies & Resources

Love this shawl TGV (High Speed Knitting).  It is not a free pattern but love the result when knit in hand painted yarn.  I am sure just like me, many of you have picked up a skein or 2 of hand painted yarn that just called your name.  Perfect for this project.  If not we have many skeins at the shop.  Susan Ashcroft created this design with no short rows, no right or wrong side, no counting, just knitting.  Originally designed for sock weight, it has been knit in sport, dk, worsted and chunky.  What fun to chase the winter chill away.

Susan also has a free Mistake rib cowl pattern which knits quick in super bulky yarn & size 13 needles.

Also love this Multnomah shawl - must be anticipating the cold winter in Minnesota.
