What's New: 10.18.11

I think this has been one of the best fall color seasons in years.  Heck there are still leaves on the trees at my house.  We are so blessed to enjoy the change of seasons in Minnesota.  I can hardly believe that October is more than half over and the holiday's will soon be upon us. Yes, its time to start the annual holiday gift knitting/crochet count down.  There are only 67 days until Christmas - ONLY 63 days until Hanukkah. And, to inspire your creativity and gift giving - Join us Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. for a Holiday Gift Knitting/Crochet  Even.t The staff have been knitting and crocheting furiously on samples that are quick to make.  The samples ARE FABULOUS. Some of the patterns are FREE with the purchase of the yarn to knit the project.   ALL the samples are INSPIRING.  What a thrill to be able to enjoy the process of knitting while creating a unique gift for someone you love.  Remember I knit for the process of knitting. While I love lots of what I knit, it is fun to be the giver of a hand made gift.  Everyone is so appreciative.Enjoy refreshments, register for door prizes, & catch a few technique demonstrations (Tunisian Crochet @ 1 pm & Finger Knitting @  2 pm) This EVENT is the first of three we have scheduled for this fall. We had a wonderful event with Sharon from Three Irish Girls last weekend.  We now stock another of her new yarns - McClellan DK. McClellan DK is a combination of Merino and Bamboo and we have a great sweater (Rivel Cardigan) knit in this wonderful yarn.  A great all season sweater. We kept many sock weight trunk show yarns for sale at the shop. Angel created a wonderful "Liv" poncho designed by Martin Storey- Stop in to check out the sample and grab some yarn to knit your own for fall. Free pattern with yarn purchased to knit Liv.

New Colors and restock of Marina & FLOUNCE - We received 3 bags of the green from which our sample is knit.  Also some new, but similar scarf yarns from KFI arrived today.  Rosewood interchangeable's, single point and double points are restocked. Noro Silk Garden has been restocked as well.
