What's New: 11.11.09

We thank all of our customers who responded with a great deal of generosity by bringing in their donations for our Minnesota troops in Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan. I know we exceeded last year's 500 Beanie Baby's and we had many more boxes! Knitters are Wonderful People!

My aim for Stressless Holiday Gift Giving continues. Webster's defines stressless and having no stress. While I know I cannot maintain a life with no stress, I have been trying some on-line shopping and refining my lists so I am a bit less hassled.

I am still striving for some great handmade gifts for the ones I love. In order to assist you in making your holiday less stressed or for those of you who are knitting for someone as a surprise, join me for a couple of SHK's (Stressless Holiday Knitting) in November or December. No reservations are required. There is no cost (FREE) and I can make a pot of coffee or offer your hot tea. My only request is that your project reflects your purchases at Amazing Threads.

One of the BEST finds at market (LAST JUNE) was the new TWIST from Malabrigo and it's here. I am searching for the PERFECT pattern while I play with this yarn. We received 2 bags of every color and its gorgeous to the touch and on the needle. It is flying off the shelf and if you were waiting for that GREAT purchase of the season, add this to your list. 4 sts = 1" (150 yards per skein).

Malabrigo Twist is a slightly chunky yarn which has a soft and luscious hand. It is a soft merino but the twist and plies resist pilling while creating a great knit.

Newly packaged Addi Clicks are here along with additional cords. We received a HUGE shipment of Addi Turbo's, Lace and Natura needles and bamboo needles are also restocked. New bags and holiday gifts are arriving daily.
