Local Retreat: Icelandic Star Cowl

Join Kate at the Amazing Threads store for the weekend! This weekend we'll be working on the Icelandic Star Cowl by Julia Farwell-Clay. Learn how to make this lovely cowl using intarsia colorwork. Never done intarsia before? No problem! Miss Kate will help you navigate the use of intarsia for a cowl you will love to wear and show off!

The cowl uses 2 colors of bulky yarn (roughly 420 yards of MC and 140 of CC) - you'll want two colors that contrast well for this project so you can see your beautiful colorwork. Our suggestions: How about the lovely Malabrigo Mecha, Anzula Burly, or Plymouth Chunky Merino Superwash? Don't forget to come in to purchase your yarn before hand!

Dates & hours for class are:
Friday, February 16th: 6 PM to 9 PM
Saturday, February 17th: 10 AM to 5 PPM
Sunday, February 18th: Noon to 4 PM

Lunch is included Saturday; refreshments and snacks on Friday, Saturday.

Classes support yarn purchased at Amazing Threads. Yarn purchased for the class project receives a 10% discount (after registration)!
