This light warm-weather pullover is knit from the top down and features set-in sleeves that are knit simultaneously with the upper body. The unique construction on this sweater and its awesome fit make it a great knit.
The front of the pullover is adorned with simple diagonal knit band and two side reverse stockinette plackets that give the pullover an A-line shaping. Instructions are provided for short and ¾-length sleeves.
Sizes:
XS (S, M, L1, L2) (XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL) – to fit 34 (36, 38, 40)(42, 44, 48, 52, 56)” chest /to fit 86 (91, 97, 102) (107, 112, 122, 132, 142) cm chest
Yarn:
Fingering or Sport Weight Yarn approx. 900 (950, 1050, 1150, 1200)(1250, 1300, 1350, 1450) yards * if working ¾ length sleeves, you will need 100 additional yards of yarn.
Gauge:
24 sts & 32 rows = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch on larger sized needles, after blocking.
Needles:
U.S. 4 (3.5 mm) circular 16” & 32’’ needle & DPN (if not using magic loop) use the size needles that gets gauge
U.S. 3 (3.25 mm) circular 32” needle & DPN (if not using magic loop) Optional: U.S. 0 or 1 (2.25 mm) circular 24” needles – used only to pick up stitches.
Notions: Two spare circular needles, sizes U.S. 3 or 4.
Scrap yarn or spare needle to hold stitches, different colored stitch markers, hook stitch markers, tapestry needle
