Evolve Shawl

This shawl is an irregular triangle that grows sideways. You start at the skinny tip (the white end on my sample) and you make increases at a central spine to make it wider and wider. 

"Using the word Scale as my inspiration, I played with the stitch pattern, keeping the same motif but making it larger and larger as the shawl grows. I also played with color… Since the first word that came to my mind when I thought of Scale was ‘Grayscale’!" ~Joji Locatelli

Finished measurements (after blocking): 72” 180cm from side to side and 23” 58 cm from top to bottom at deepest point.

Yarn: appoximately 810 yards fingering weight yarn
Color 1: 250 yards 
Color 2: 280 yards 
Color 3: 280 yards 
Needles: US 6 (4 mm)
Notions: Stitch markers, darning needle
