Join Megan for a class in the next level of brioche! This class goes over the Whorl shawl by brioche legend Nancy Marchant! A nice start of garter with rather decorative increases along the center spine will have you ready to get to work with that beautiful brioche!
This class is appropriate for those who have a solid foundation in brioche and are ready for some fun increase and decrease steps! Megan is a brioche pro and will happily guide you through how to do the increases/decreases, and if you're interested she can show you how to do "invisible" decreases as well! Concerned about this being virtual? Don't be! Megan has a setup that uses 2 cameras - one on her for general chatting and such, and another focused on her hands so you can see it as if you were looking down at your own knitting!MATERIALS
Yarn: Sport weight, 656 yards MC, 328 yards CC. Fingering or DK weight would also be okay - but your yardages and size of your finished object will shift slightly!
Needles: US 4, 32" cable or longer. Brioche is an interesting stitch pattern that can significantly change a user's gauge, so please have some other sizes handy as well when we get to the brioche section!
Notions: Scrap yarn for lifelines (Megan insists!), darning needle, scissors.
Pattern: Whorl Shawl by Nancy MarchantPlease note: This is a virtual class only! It will be accessible through your phone, tablet, or computer. A microphone is required, and a webcam is strongly encouraged. Zoom Information will be provided after registration and yarn purchase for class.
