This December, unleash whimsy and playfulness. I’ve crafted an experience full of gnomes, surprises, and fun! That’s right, it’s a holiday mystery gnome knitalong! ❄️While the term advent is used a fair bit, this is not an explicitly Christmas event. It’s a festive winter event set in a whimsical gnomish land.❄️
This MKAL features 24 emails: 12 with small bits of gnome knitting. The other 12 will bring charming stories, special treats, and recipes for traditional gnomish delights to your inbox.
Gnutmeg is a medium-sized gnome, and since he’s split into 12 stages you’ll find time to knit him up even in the busiest schedule. I’ve even made sure to keep things extra simple, knitting-wise. No new acrobatic stitches to learn.
You’ll also get video tutorials for all the parts that might need help.
This ADVENTure will bring a smile to your face!
Yarn: 4 x 20 g of fingering weight
The preKAL PDF has tips for choosing colours. Also, I will be on Instagram Live every Thursday in November at 7pm Central time to answer questions and if you join in you can show me your yarn colours and I can help you.
Worsted Weight: a few testers were also asked to try a worsted version. They used US 3-5 / 3.25-3.75 mm needles, and needed to have 75 yds. / 68 m of each colour to be sure to have enough.
