Intro to Colorwork Knitting - Featuring: The Aunties Cowl

Ready to do some of those fabulous colorwork patterns you're seeing on Ravelry? Join Megan for this introduction to stranded colorwork knitting!
This is a great class for experienced or new colorwork knitters, but a strong foundation in basic knitting is required.
You will learn how to carry your yarn appropriately, the best way to catch floats, how to manage your yarn so it doesn't get all twisted, and color dominance (it's not color theory!)
Some advice on color choice: Make sure your colors contrast well! It's awful to go through all the work and not be able to see it well!
The pattern is available through the store as well as Ravelry.
YARN REQUIREMENTS
Sport or Light DK Weight Yarn; MC 300 yards; C1 330 yards; C2 45 yards. Megan recommends the Recollect yarn from The Farmers Daughter Fibers - it's her personal favorite!
SUGGESTED NEEDLES
US 4, but be prepared to use other sizes depending on your own gauge. Many test knitters needed to play with their needle sizes to get the correct gauge for the best drape!
