The Holiday Doodle Infinity Cowl is worked in the round as a tube, from side to side. Beginning with a provisional cast on, the stranded colorwork is then knit to desired finished circumference. Then the two ends are grafted together for a seamless infinity cowl, with or without a twist.
This patterns includes micro charts intended to be used as mix-and-match colorwork motifs throughout the project. This festive design is inspired by Christmas sweaters, Starbucks holiday cups, and wrapping paper! Or you can substitute ANY other Doodle charts!
The Holiday Doodle Cowl is knit in the round using circular needles. Beginning with a provisional cast on, you will knit a few inches in the Main Color Pattern (MCP), followed by 10-12in (25-30cm) of “doodles,” before switching to the Main Color Pattern again for the remainder of the length. Then the two edges of the MCP will be joined seamlessly in the round, using a Kitchener stitch.
This pattern includes two pages of 24-stitch, holiday inspired colorwork bands are intended to inspire some “festive doodles” within your knit. Mix and match, swap contrast colors, and fill in with solid rows of knit as needed to make them pop!
