Sometimes you just need one basic pattern that you can use to get started, increase your confidence and then adapt to suit your own feet.
One 100g ball of yarn should be plenty to make a pair of socks.
If you’re a beginner sock knitter, you can use the step-by-step tutorials at www.winwickmum.co.uk/sockalong to help you. Although they are written for 4ply yarn, the process is exactly the same for socks knitted with thicker yarn.
YARN REQUIREMENTS:
Please note these are yarn estimates. The amount used will depend on yarn, your personal gauge, and any modifications you make.
400+ yds of sport weight yarn
Suggested Yarn: KFI Indulgence Merino or sport weight yarn with some nylon for durability.
SUGGESTED NEEDLES: Needles listed are suggested. Always take time to swatch.
Double Point Needles - US 4 and US 2.5
TOOLS: stitch markers, darning needle for weaving ends.
