Finish Socks in a Day
Join Susan for this three-hour workshop to finish a pair of socks in a day! Susan will use her knitting machine to crank your pair of socks prior to class. Instruction will be provided for separating the socks and constructing the cuff, toe, and afterthought heel.
Note: Main Color yarn must be selected and left at the shop no later than November 30th to allow time for socks to be machine knit prior to class.
This is an intermediate level class. Students should be familiar with sock knitting techniques. This class is not intended for first-time sock knitters
Sizing
One Size.
Yarn
MC: 400 yards of fingering weight yarn
CC: 30g (approximately 120 yards) of contrasting color fingering weight yarn for the cuff, toe, and heel.
Yarn suggestions include:
MC: La Bien Aimee Super Sock, Gusto Wool Echoes, SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock
CC: A perfect opportunity to raid your stash for the contrasting color, or a contrasting color in the same base as your main color
Needles
US #1 or #2 needles, your preferred size for knitting socks
