Believe - An MKAL the Lasso Way

Note: Due to timing conflicts with Easter Weekend and Shop Hop, the final session will be held on April 19th instead of April 5th. This will also allow you plenty to time to catch up if needed!

How Does This Work?

It’s a knitting pattern for a generous shawl/wrap/scarf-thingy.
There will be 6 clues for the MKAL. Clue 1 drops on Friday, Feb 27th, 2026 (first thing in the am EDT), with clues 2-6 releasing on each of the following Fridays.
As each clue is published, you will receive an update with that Clue (via Ravelry download).
The yardage listed includes wiggle room. Even small differences in gauge can result in using more or less yarn than listed, and since it’s pretty awful to run out of yarn, I want to ensure that you finish without having to play yarn chicken. So unless you have more yarn yardage than the pattern calls for, you need to match gauge (or slightly tighter) as well as some of the measurements that I give you early on to check.

This shawl is knit using fingering weight yarn. The pattern is intended to have 4 different colors (C1, C2, C3, & CC), 400 yards of each. Not all of the colors need to contrast with all the others. Instead, only ONE of the colors, the CC, needs to contrast with the rest.

Suggested Yarn:
Life in the Long Grass Singles, North Bay Fiber Elemental Fingering, La Bien Aimee Super Sock, or any fingering weight yarn.
C1-CC: 400 yards each

Suggested Needles:
US 5 (3.75mm) 24" circular needle or longer

Tools:
2 stitch markers, a locking stitch marker, a tapestry needle, waste yarn or a Barber cord.

Gauge: 24 stitches and 48 rows = 4 inches in Garter Stitch

Skill Details:	Adventurous Beginner. Knitters should be comfortable with knits, purls, and casting on.
