Gyre Cowl - Learn Stranded Colorwork



Join Amy in making the Gyre Cowl! This cowl is a perfect project for learning stranded colorwork. Gyre is worked in the round with worsted weight yarn, and includes and option striped liner to make it reversible!

YARN REQUIREMENTS: 

Worsted weight yarn. Options include La Bien Aimee Corrie Worsted, Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok, and Malabrigo Rios

Unlined version:
MC - 100 yards
CC - 75 yards

Lined version:
MC - 200 yards
CC - 125 yards

 

SUGGESTED NEEDLES: Needles listed are suggested. Always take time to swatch.

Unlined version:
US 6 (4mm) 24" circular needle

Lined version:
US 6 (4mm) 24" circular needle
US 4 (3.5mm) 24" circular needle



TOOLS: stitch markers, darning needle for weaving ends, waste yarn or barber cord for the lined version of the cowl.


Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Advanced beginner or intermediate. Students should be comfortable with basic knit stitches and working in the round.
