Rocketeer Cowl



Join Derek in making the Rocketeer CowlThe Rocketeer cowl is knitted in two mirrored garter-stitch panels. Once both panels are complete, they are seamed together at the front and back using a running stitch. To finish, an applied I-cord is worked around both the top and bottom edges of the cowl.

Circumference: 27½” / 70 cm
Height: 16” / 41 cm


YARN REQUIREMENTS: 

Our sample was knit using Rowan Felted Tweed.  Any DK weight yarn would work, including stash yarn of adequate yardage.

NEEDLES
Straight or circular needles in two sizes

Main needles: US 5 / 3.75 mm, or size needed to match gauge
Details needles: US 3 / 3.25 mm, or 0.5 mm smaller than main needles

GAUGE
18 stitches and 36 rows = 4” / 10 cm in garter stitch, worked flat, blocked
