Amazing Threads - New Yarn, Temperature Projects, peuticraand More!

It has been a chilly week here in Minnesota!  Hopefully you've been able to stay warm and bundle up in some cozy knit and crochet projects!

Speaking of extreme temperatures, we caught the Temperature Blanket and Scarf fever here at the shop! If you're not familiar with this type of project, it is typically a blanket, scarf, or wrap made using different colors to represent various temperature ranges throughout the calendar year.  A row is added to the project each day using the color in the palette representing the temperature for the day.

We had fun picking out various color palettes in different yarns to inspire your next project!  Yarns pictured include Rowan Felted Tweed, Farmers Daughter Fibers Juicy DK, Plymouth SW Worsted, and Malabrigo Rios.  Be sure to check the end of the newsletter for some pattern ideas!

Knitting is rhythmic and that is what soothes our soul.  Visit the Pascauli blog for a litany of

New Yarn Alert!!! Pascuali Bayalage yarn is a gorgeous fingering weight yarn created in collaboration with Melanie Berg!  The color palette was made with color gradients in mind - blocks of four colors can be matched with each other to create beautiful combinations.  Each colorway is named after a Peruvian city.

The Daily Temperature Blanket by Clare Thornley is knit in DK and is a fun way to incorporate daily high and low temperatures into your project.

The Tunisian Temperature Blanket by Nona Davenport is crocheted with yarn held double.  The designer used two colors together - one for the high temp and the other for the low temp of the day.
