Join us November 8th-10th for a weekend of knitting, crochet, and fiber fun at Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria, MN. The Amazing Threads Weekend Getaway is a fun event to gather with and meet new fiber friends while working on your project! Bring your current work-in-progress or stop in the shop for inspiration on a new project to cast-on during the event!
During the Getaway, we are excited to be hosting Sarah of Sea Change Fibers as our featured indie-dyer! We can't wait to share her beautiful yarns with you all in a shoppable trunk show. Felicia of Sweet Georgia Yarns will be joining us via zoom for a class on color and color pairing. She is the creative genius behind the stunning Party of Five kits and will be taking time to share her knowledge with us. Just One More, Accessories by Erin will be our featured notion & project bag maker. Erin will be with us in person to help you find the perfect fabric combination. And of course, we will have our Getaway Shop available for a little retail therapy with a few extra surprises in store.
An optional add-on excursion for wine tasting at Carlos Creek Winery on Saturday at 12PM is available for attendees to register for. Transportation to and from the winery will be provided. This is a separate option to add-on, in addition to your registration selection.
The event runs Friday- Sunday (Friday: 12PM-9PM, Saturday: 8AM-9PM, Sunday: 8AM-3PM). Registration fees are non-refundable. Guests have the option of paying in full when registering, or paying in two installments (listed as "deposit" and "remaining balance"). Please be sure to select the correct payment option at check out. Final payment of remaining balance is due September 30th.
Cost includes meals, beverages, and snacks throughout the event. Catering will be provided by the Arrowwood Resort. Please leave a note/comment at check out or call the shop directly with any special dietary needs or restrictions.
Guests are required to book their own accommodations, cost of room is not included in registration. A room block at the resort has been reserved for the Amazing Threads event. Please mention you are an event attendee when booking your reservation to get the discounted rate.
Registrants will receive a separate email communication as the Retreat approaches with final details regarding the schedule for the weekend and additional information.
