Join us November 6th-8th for a weekend of knitting, crochet, and fiber fun at Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria, MN. The Amazing Threads Weekend Getaway is a fun event to gather with and meet new fiber friends while working on your projects! Bring your current work-in-progress or stop in the shop for inspiration on a new project to cast-on during the event!
We have decided to return to Arrowwood this year as they have been working on various renovations throughout the resort. We have arranged for our room block to be specifically for the newly renovated rooms! Additionally, we are pleased to share that Katie, the amazing lead event coordinator/catering staff is still there, and we can't wait to enjoy her dedicated and attentive service once again!
During the Getaway, we are excited to be hosting Mary of 29 Bridges as our featured indie-dyer! We can't wait to share her beautiful yarns with you all in a shoppable trunk show. Jessica of The Knitted Butterfly and Sweet Pea Penelope will be joining us in person with her beautiful assortment of stitch markers, notions, and custom bags! Additionally, we are thrilled to have a presentation from Andrea of The Knitting PT, author of Craft Without Pain. She will be sharing her tips and wisdom on reducing strain, pain, and preventing injury for knitters and crocheters alike! And of course, we will have our Getaway Shop available for a little retail therapy with a few extra surprises in store.
An optional add-on excursion for wine/beer tasting at Carlos Creek Winery on Saturday at 12PM is available for attendees to register for. Enjoy your choice of wine or beer flight. Transportation to and from the winery will be provided. This is a separate option to add-on, in addition to your registration selection.
The event runs Friday- Sunday (Friday: 12PM-9PM, Saturday: 8AM-9PM, Sunday: 8AM-3PM). Registration fees are non-refundable. Guests have the option of paying in full when registering, or paying in two installments (listed as "deposit" and "remaining balance"). Please be sure to select the correct payment option at check out. Final payment of remaining balance is due September 30th.
Cost includes meals, beverages, and snacks throughout the event. Catering will be provided by the Arrowwood Resort. Please leave a note/comment at check out or call the shop directly with any special dietary needs or restrictions.
Guests are required to book their own accommodations, cost of room is not included in registration. A room block at the resort has been reserved for the Amazing Threads event. Our room block specifies your stay will be in their recently renovated rooms! Please mention you are an Amazing Threads event attendee when booking your reservation to get the discounted rate.
